Breaking my neck did not stop me from graduating
The tassel has officially moved to the other side of my cap.
What started in a dorm jammed full of newly independent 18-year-olds in the fall of 2007 culminated at the University of Cincinnati this past Saturday morning with my graduation ceremony as a 27-year-old with a new perspective.
Last year when I looked into going back to class I wrote about the 5 things I learned during my hiatus from college.
I believe I will look back at that four year gap as the defining period of my life in which my priorities got flipped upside down, God became real in a personal way, and a vision for my life was made much more clear.
Thanks to Stephanie’s newly unveiled video editing skills, I now have the below YouTube video with my thoughts on the experience.

Ryan, congratulations on graduating from UC! Your will to accomplish that dream is inspiring. Witnessing the saving power of God in your life leaves all of us speechless.
As for future video content, keep us posted on wedding preparation activities. Just say yes to every question about everything….music, food, cake, dresses, invitations, seating arrangement etc….
Finally, the video editing was outstanding. Thought I had turned into Sports Center with a special on Ryan Arkins and the Bearcats…
